Water Marbling

I’ve gotten some confusion whenever I talk about this. It’s really not a common thing up in this area I think. I’ve heard it described as tye dyeing your finger nails. It’s kind of like that.

It’s fairly simple and pretty messy. But the end results are pretty nice. I recommend having a color already on the nail though as I did mine without and it’s transparent through. Here is my results:

Water Marbling - First attempt

This is what I used: Finger Paints Base Coat, marbling of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear’s Pacific Blue, Essie’s Shifting Power, and China Glaze’s White on White, topped with China Glaze’s Fairy Dust and Essie’s Superduper Top Coat. It’s been cleaned up since. (It was back on Friday when this was done. It’s chipping only slightly along the cuticles. I partially blame this on it being so thin.)
